New Scam be aware!!!!!!!!!!!!! *View Archives* NEW PHONE SCAM IN EDWARDS COUNTY A scammer posing as a representative from Publishers Clearing House called an Edwards County resident telling him that he had won a Mercedes Benz and two ATV's. The resident happened to be a Edwards County Deputy. The call came in from (876) 453-9623. This number is based in Jamaica but does not necessarily mean that the call came from Jamaica. The caller did not have a Jamaican accent. The Deputy tried to keep him on the phone to obtain information but the caller would never answer any question. The caller was seeking a social security number. Be aware, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't.
