Another busy morning in Edwards County that started at around 2:30 A.M. with a Texas DPS pursuit that began on RM 2523 and ended in a bailout on HWY 377 in Kimble County. As Edwards County Sheriff's Deputies were returning from assisting Texas DPS with the bailout in Kimble County, our local Texas DPS Trooper had a bailout at RR 335 and Hwy 41. As the Deputies turned around to go assist, they observed a vehicle traveling north on HWY 377. They conducted a vehicle stop an uncovered another smuggling case. The U.S. Citizen driver was arrested for smuggling and outstanding warrants. A total of 10 IA'S were turned over to U.S. Border Patrol for processing.
