12/09/2022 U.S. Citizen driver arrested for 11 counts of Smuggling of Persons: Fleeing
On 12/9/2022, at approximately 7:20 A.M., the Edwards County Sheriff's Office was advised that Kinney County Sheriff's Deputies were in pursuit of a red SUV on RM 674 but had lost sight of the vehicle. An Edwards County Sheriff's Deputy drove south on RM 674 where he located the vehicle and another pursuit began. A Texas DPS Trooper was able to successfully deploy spikes disabling the vehicle where the Edwards County Sheriff's Deputy and Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Warden made the arrest. The U.S. Citizen driver was arrested for 11 counts of Smuggling of Persons: Fleeing. The 11 IA's were turned over to U.S. Border Patrol for processing.
