12/27/2022 Edwards County Sheriff's Deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a red Ford pickup in Rocksprings which resulted in a pursuit
On 12/27/22 at around 8:45 P.M., an Edwards County Sheriff's Deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a red Ford pickup in Rocksprings. The driver of the vehicle fled south on HWY 55 where the vehicle was spiked at the Nueces River Bridge in Barksdale. The vehicle continued on into Camp Wood where the pursuit ended at the end of East 7th street. The Edwards County Sheriff's Office, the Real County Sheriff's Office, and U.S. Border Patrol were on scene immediately and all occupants were taken into custody. The driver was arrested for Smuggling of Persons: Fleeing and the passenger for Smuggling of Persons. The 3 IA's were turned over to U.S. Border Patrol for processing.
