ROCKSPRINGS MAN ARRESTED ON SEXUAL ASSAULT

On 04/14 /2018, a Rocksprings man was arrested in Rocksprings Texas for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. A child in the Texas Penal Code means a person under the age of 14. Armando Lopez (37) was taken into custody and transported to The Edwards County Detention Center and was booked for the listed Offense. The incident happened in Sonora Texas and the case was presented to The Edwards County Sheriff’s Office and the case was coordinated with The Sonora Police Department who in turn issued the Arrest Warrant.

Any sex crime that has been committed can be presented to any department in the United States, even other countries. The department that receives the complaint in turn forwards their findings and will assist the handling agency in any way that is necessary. Both agencies will work together on the case, according to Darrell Volkmann with The Edwards County Sheriff’s Office.
