TWO ADULT ROCKSPRINGS STUDENTS ARRESTED

Two adult students turn themselves in after arrest warrants were issued for their arrest. Leandro Gonzales (17) AND Saul Franco (17) were involved in an altercation with Law Enforcement Officers on May 21, 2019 on RSISD School property after an incident at City Hall. Gonzales was charged with Felony Assault, and Felony Obstruction, both a third degree felony that is punishable between 2-10 years confinement in TDC and/or a 10,000.00 fine each.
Franco was charged with Interference of Public Duties, a class B misdemeanor Punishable by up to 180 days in jail and a 2,000.fine.
Gonzales posted bonds totaling 30,000.00 and was released. Franco posted a 3,000.00 and was also released.
